WELCOME TO YOUR ALUMNI COMMUNITY!

Simply put: if you were a client, you are an alumnus! At MN Adult & Teen Challenge, we define our alumni as anyone who has been a client of any of our programs for any length of time – regardless of completion or graduation status. Our recovery journey is as unique to each of us as we are unique, but one thing we share: our lives have intersected with MnTC in one way or another.

We are committed to doing everything we can to support you in achieving life-long recovery!

You began a new season of life as an alumnus as you stepped out of residential treatment for the last time or ended your outpatient program. Our program likely taught you many great tools and helped you lay a solid foundation for your recovery. Now you find yourself in the day-to-day of navigating your road to success. The good news: you are not alone! We will do all we can to help you intentionally maintain the necessary relationships and rhythms you need to achieve long-term, sustained recovery.

The leading cause of relapse after discharge from a treatment program is isolation, pulling away from the tools and relationships that assist you in maintaining sobriety and enjoying life. Recovery is all about community while isolation breeds addiction. We need to stay connected to everything that brings us life, health, and hope.

Think of it this way: our cellphones are powerful tools that can do just about anything for us, bringing the world’s knowledge to our fingertips, directing us to almost any location, etc… – in fact, you are likely reading this on a cellphone right now. However, if we do not reconnect our cellphones to a power source, they become dead and useless within a day or so. Likewise, when we stay connected to our power source – our recovery community, resources, and tools – we remain charged up and heading in the right direction. When we stop connecting, we start draining and drift down the road towards relapse.

A COMMUNITY TO CONNECT TO

MnTC Alumni Services Department is constantly striving to develop more and more ways to help you remain connected to your MnTC Alumni Community as well as resource you to connect with your own local recovery communities. To be sure, you must be intentional about staying connected, but we are here to support you every step of your journey. As you grow and establish yourself in your recovery, we provide opportunities for you to give back through our Alumni Ambassador program to help your fellow alumni achieve long-term success as well.

Please look below for ways to stay connected through our very own MnTC Cares App, MnTC FB Groups, and subscribe to receive alumni email updates.
